I recently confirmed a trip to Tanzania to do some island hopping for a week. Tanzania, and more specifically Zanzibar, has been on my bucket list for quite some time so i’m stoked that its finally happening in 2017 for me. The company that is organizing the yacht week has been sending updates on things of importance such as visas and other paperwork we should be completing. Our latest update informed us that rolling bags will not work for the time we spend on the boat so we should pack accordingly.
I consider myself a pretty seasoned packer, but a rolling bag is almost always apart of the equation. Since its looking like the only thing i’ll be rolling is my clothes, I need to re-strategize. They are suggesting a duffle bag, the likes of which I don’t even own. Its all good though, one thing about travel, especially international travel, is that you HAVE to be flexible. Here is what i’ve found so far in my research. Im leaning towards the backpacker look because I already know the bag is going to drive me crazy if all the weight is on one shoulder. Feel fee to help a sister out with your opinions and things that have worked for you.
